About This Event
Price: FREE
Eye village is going to be the backdrop of a spectacular Lantern Parade in early November of this year. For one night, the village will be a sea of lanterns, musical performances, outside spectacles and people gathered, spreading light at the darkest time of the year.
The official launch of the project is on the weekend of the 11th of June. And what better way to start off a parade than with lantern making workshops.
These workshops are a chance for people from Eye to come along and meet La Septima who will be creating the parade and to help make lanterns too!
No experience necessary for the lantern making, all materials are provided and the workshops are for free. All ages welcome too.
Everything in the parade will take inspiration from the Village, its history, community groups and its recent memories of creativity. La Septima are keen to meet as many people from Eye as possible to help make the parade even more special. This is also a a chance for anyone in the village to come and ask questions, offer stories and get involved too.
Drop in from 12pm-5pm on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th of June.
Where: Leeds Hall on the high street of Eye village.

No booking required.
The space is accessible for people who use wheelchairs or pushchairs.
