Documenting the restoration of the Link Road mural

A film by Red 7 Productions

Peterborough Presents worked with the amazing local community and a team of incredible artists to restore the Link Road mural back to its original glory in summer 2021. Artists Amanda Rigby, Jason Duckmanton, Katie Scott, Nathan Murdoch (Street Arts Hire), Stuart Payn, and Tony Nero, undertook an epic job of bringing this faded, well-loved mural back to life.

Why not make yourself a cuppa and watch this 20-min long documentary? Featuring interviews with the restoration artists, clips of the mural being restored, a chat with Francis Gomila, and community legends (past and present) from the Millfield area.

This thing was a lot of money and effort to restore. It’s not a small thing at all. It is significant. And I think that says a huge range of things when you invest in something and you say that, down to even the choice of materials we used, because we’re protecting not just the investment of what the art work is, but actually we’re protecting the investment of what that means in the community for the next generation.
