 A yearly celebration of creativity and culture in Millfield.

A free, family-friendly celebration of creativity, arts, culture, and community on Saturday 6th August 2022. The festival welcomes everyone in the area to come together for an uplifting and inspiring event.

Millfield Festival happens at New England Rec (also known as Rock Park / The Triangle) on Lincoln Road / Occupation Road. Each year, Peterborough Presents works with local people and organisations to put on interesting music and dance, fun arts & crafts, and amazing performances.

Suitable for all ages and backgrounds!

Food & refreshments sold on site – please bring cash.
Free tea, coffee and cake provided by St Mark’s Church.

 

Watch

Our community stage will be full of local groups sharing their cultural music and dance throughout the day. Plus, outdoor theatre, parkour, and acrobatics. The stage will be hosted by local legend – BBC Radio Cambs & Salaam Radio’s Amir Suleman!

And headlining this year’s festival we have a community carnival parade and performance! Thirty local people dressed up in amazing costumes, celebrating Millfield communities and the wonderful representation of dance and music styles from all over the world.

As well as the main stage, we also have the Magical History Tent hosted by Deljit Singh and Anita Nayyar – a mixture of storytelling games and casual conversations about local memories and fond chats of days gone by.

Make

In our Millfield Makers Marquee, you and the kids can have a go at lots of arts & crafts workshops – from bee bombing to biscuit painting to henna, there is lots of creative activities to have fun with!

We will also have x2 professional street artists – Nyces (Street Arts Hire) and KORP who will be making murals live on site which you can add to.

Magical History Tent
