What will I be doing?

Working with Lauren Kendrick In our peaceful garden you will learn traditional woodworking skills together through the building of a natural willow trellis for the Westraven Community Garden. During this mindful activity you will;

– Learn how to use a saw, drill, measure and lash wood together

– Learn about willow and how this structure will create habitat and support wildlife

– Be part of a collective project that will become part of the community garden

– Meet new people

– How equity is about humans and nature

– Experience mindfulness in small group and a natural setting

– Learn how to use natural resources

– Experiment with new skills that are transferable

– Explore ideas of support and space to grow

– Improve your wellbeing and confidence

You will be part of a small group (max 8 people) whilst enjoying a safe space to share your experiences and stories. You will be part of a project that will have a big impact on the site and stay in the garden for future visitors (humans and animals) to enjoy and which will grow and develop naturally over the years with the site.
