A relaxed evening of poetry, spoken word, and music, featuring local and national women icons whose roots spread around the globe. You can also enjoy the finest soul food and drink from Embe.
£1.50 from every ticket will go to Sistah Space, who provide specialist support for African & Caribbean heritage women affected by abuse.

Venue and access information:
- Upstairs function room at Embe with a capacity of approx. 40-50 people. The stairs are immediately to the right as you enter
- Unfortunately the building is not wheelchair accessible
- Cabaret/restaurant style seating
- Relaxed performance – you can come and go as you please once the event has started
- The venue is likely to have a busy atmosphere as the restaurant downstairs will also be open
- You will be able to order food, please see Embe’s website for full menu and dietary information
