Peterborough Presents are looking for enthusiastic people who would like to volunteer as a Host in our new Reasonable Adjustments exhibitions in Queensgate.
When can you come along and help at our Reasonable Adjustment exhibition?
Volunteer Dates: Tuesdays to Saturdays, 11 September to 11 October (closed Tuesday 1 October)
Times: 12 – 4.30pm
Venue: Queensgate Shopping Centre, (Unit 27, ground floor, behind the John Lewis escalators)
About the Exhibition:
We will be programming a series of exhibitions, workshops and film screenings in a Queensgate shopping unit from 11th September to 11th October 2025. Our RAD 2.0 programme marks 30 years of the Disability Discrimination Act. It shares the perspectives of disabled d/Deaf and neurodivergent (DDN) individuals to changes made in the last 30 years and key changes that are being proposed today to disability benefits and Access to Work. The artworks also challenge stigma and raise awareness about their lived experiences.
We will open with an exhibition of artworks made at a series of creative public workshops with artist Fae Kilburn. Expect a powerful and thought-provoking exhibition of tactile textiles, prints, and a citywide installation of activist t-shirts! This will run from 11 – 27 September.
Following a quick change over, we will re-open with our RAD Artists Collection exhibition. This will feature art works, films and workshops by artists John Clarke, Jay Gearing, Lore Green and Kim Laidler, and a possible take-over by Beat This / Lava Lamp. This will run from 2 – 11 October.
