Why do something alone when it’s great fun to create together??
Peterborough Presents is all about working with other people to create brilliant new creative experiences for local people. We work with local communities and organisations to decide what we want to work on, ask artists for their ideas on what to do, interview them and then crack on with delivery. In other words we ‘co-commission’ creative programmes. We learn so much from each other by working together. It’s something we believe in as it generally results in exhibitions, events and activities that people feel connected to and want to take part in.
Don’t just take our word for it. Jamie Buttrick, our external evaluator has been looking at the work we did on Reasonable Adjustment. We worked with Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent creatives and organisations like RNIB, Disability Peterborough, PCVS, Peterborough Deaf Children’s Society to co-commission a programme of work.
