About ‘I know a story about Eye’
Eyes Gets Green worked with film maker Emily Steele-Dias, learning different film making techniques over six weeks. Inspired by the folklore and Eye village itself they have created a short original film. ‘I know a story about Eye’
All of the spooky tales included are original and have been written and presented by the Eye Gets Green participants. They used stop motion, traditional acting and shadow puppetry to tell each story. The overall aim of the film is to bring back that feeling of telling a eerie tale around a bonfire with friends, and to explore the urban myths that surround Eye.
At the end of the six weeks and after the film had been edited, the Eye Gets Green young people presented this short film along with a action version of ‘How to Train your Dragon’. They wanted to share their film with the wider Eye community and see it on a big screen. They planned and hosted this screening on March the 7 at Eye Youth Club with a great audience and lots of popcorn. The audience also asked questions about the film and how it was made.
