A fashion show for the DDN Community
Join the Friday team from Goldhay Arts, for an afternoon of reworked fashion, showcasing some of the quality donations from the Goldhay Arts charity shop, which will be open and right next door to the show, so bring your purse or wallet if you’d like to purchase any of these items. Be prepared to enjoy an exciting and elegant event, that features members of the Friday group. Everything has been planned by them for your pleasure.

The event will be open to the Deaf Disabled and Neurodivergent (DDN) community and friends but spaces are limited so booking is essential.

What to Expect
The venue is step free and wheelchair accessible.
The fashion show will feature music and models walking along a run way which is on the ground, there will be seating either side of the runway and please let a member of the team know if you need a seat further back or in a quieter space.
We will update this webpage/event info regarding use of lights too.
There will be other spaces in the building that people can use if they need a quiet time.
The show will be an hour long, with breaks.
There are toilets near the audience area that are accessible.

Reasonable Adjustment community events
We are supporting 3 local groups and individuals to deliver their own activities during this time. We would also like to share details of a great exhibition at Peterborough Museum.
Fiona Cifaldi: A ‘scratch-building, model-making’ workshop
specifically designed to support people who are neurodivergent. Fiona will show you how to build models for table-top gaming or sci-fi fans out of throw away items. There will be a follow-up group call to share the finished pieces
Max Orton: A Dungeons and Dragons Introductory Workshop
catered towards people who identify as DDN. It will be suitable for new people who want to try D&D for the first time as well as more seasoned players.
Goldhay Arts: Fashion Show
An accessible fashion show, with learning disabled models showcasing the clothing from the charity shop at Goldhay Arts. Audience will get to peruse the charity shop after the show too.
Peterborough Museum: Socially Accessible
an exhibition charting the developments and changes in the world of disability. 12th October – 22nd December 23.
