Insight into how Peterborough Presents created a programme of “pop up” activity in Summer 2023 in Westwood, Peterborough.
In 2023, Peterborough Presents took a programme of pop-up activity to the streets of Westwood, known as Westwood Encounters.
This case study looks at our learning from creating a series of pop-up, outdoor creative activities on the streets of Westwood. The aim of the programme was to give more people in Westwood and Ravensthorpe a chance to stumble across creative activities on their doorstep. The artists were chosen by two community panels, which were made up of residents, and the target audiences for these programmes were Men and Young People.
Activity included a Father’s Day Scavenger Hunt, After School Paint Seshes, pebble painting, and a community picnic and cake parade.
This case study was produced by Peterborough Presents’ external evaluator Jamie Buttrick.
