Eye Window Wanderland – Co-created a Magical Trail
We worked with Eye Village to create Peterborough’s first ‘Window Wanderland’, a national project that has lit 100’s of towns and cities throughout the UK, it’s a project that encourages communities to come together to light up their neighbourhood and to create some joy in the darker half of the year.
So how did Window Wanderland do that?
It was a magical evening walk around the village and an opportunity to enjoy colourful and unique displays in the windows and gardens of Eye neighbours and businesses. There was an amazing map for people to follow, a little scavenger hunt and even hot chocolate at a community venue too.
We want to say a massive thanks to everyone that took part and created such beautiful and diverse windows. And to the many people that braved the cold nights to wander around to enjoy the displays.

Those that enjoyed the event on the 7th, 8th and 9th of March got to enjoy the magical trail and village outdoor gallery with this map showing them where all the designed windows were. It was designed by Sam Roddan and featured timed routes so you could choose which ones to do, depending on the time you had.
There was even a scavenger hunt for children and families. Which was very popular and lots of prizes were won.

Some dark paper or card,
Tissue paper,
Optional extra – colour film,
And a willingness to have a go!
