A crafty, making, chatty group based in Welland.

We’ll make you a brew, whilst you make something useful or beautiful.

Join these FREE & MONTHLY creative afternoons where you make, create, and chat.

Welland Makers will be hosted by the team of Orton Makers, which is a craft group that has been running for nearly four years over in Orton. (And was set up with Peterborough Presents originally) They are volunteers with busy lives, but they also have a passion for sharing easy, accessible, fun and different crafting.  Find out more Orton Makers

They encourage people to try new things with no worries about failing, and in safe and enjoyable meetings.
These sessions are open to everyone, whether you knit, carve, glue, draw, or make.

You are welcome to bring along a personal crafting project. But, if you don’t have anything to bring but fancy having a go at making something, then there will be an activity for you to try. You can also come along if you just want to meet others for a chat.

No experience necessary, just an interest or curiosity in making / craft. We will provide the materials, tea, coffee, and biscuits.

You enter the venue by heading towards the entrance which is behind green railings. Turn left and there is a set of benches, pass those and the entrance to the room is on your right. Someone will be at the door to the venue to welcome people. It’s all step free and wheelchair accessible. The sessions will use certain art materials. If there are any sensory issues that we should know, then get in touch. We are using a set of large tables, with several chairs with armrests and without. We will have a quiet space for anyone that needs some time away. There is a small kitchen nearby where we will make refreshments or can wash hands etc. Toilets are available for attendees to use inside the main building, and one is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know if you need someone to meet you to bring you into the sessions.

Travel information:
There are a few bus routes you can use with different walking times within them. These are Route 4, 5, 5A and 37. Go to https://pbt.busatlas.uk/ for more information on each route or into google.
