A night of community light!
On the 12th of Nov 2022, Peterborough Presents alongside La Septima and various community groups of Eye village took part and produced a spectacular lantern parade. There were 400 people walking in the parade, with the 200 lanterns that were made over the last year, lots of people lit themselves up too.
There were carols in garages, molly dancers on the high street, a giant fish that chased a fisherman and even a tractor and more… much much more!
All of this was seen by another 600 people from the village, meaning that the parade reached 1000 Eye residents, also a big shout out to all those who watched us from their doorways and homes. We just wanted to say thanks to every person that created a lantern, lent us items from costume to ladders, everyone that danced, sang and to those who waited to see the parade. It’s been a real Village project that we hope people may want to see again.
