Come and help volunteer at our Reasonable Adjustment Exhibition.
Peterborough Presents are looking for enthusiastic people who would like to volunteer as a Host in our new Reasonable Adjustments exhibition in Queensgate.
Reasonable Adjustment is a new exhibition created by print maker Fae Kilburn with residents from Peterborough who identify as d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent. You can read more about the exhibition and Fae here: Reasonable Adjustment Exhibition
Below is information on the where, when, and how you can get involved. There’s a brief description of the type of jobs you might get involved with. We can help contribute towards your travel costs and food for each shift. Have a read of the information below and drop us a call or message if you’re interested. We’re looking for people to cover shifts from 11.45am – 2pm, 2pm to 4.15pm or both. Whether you can do one shift or more, we’d love for you to be part of our team.
What type of jobs will I do?
As an Exhibition Host you are part of the welcome team and will support the Peterborough Presents staff looking after the show in the shop unit. This will include welcoming the public, answering any questions they might have, checking all artworks and the space is looked after.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working alongside one of our Exhibition Assistants, you will help with:
– Welcoming visitors and providing exhibition information
– Checking the art works and keeping the exhibition space clean and tidy
– Recording audience numbers and collecting feedback.
– You will be supported throughout by an Exhibition Lead.
We’re looking for people who are:
– Able to provide a friendly welcome
– Happy and confident to talk to the public
– Enthusiastic
– Interested in the themes of the exhibition
– You must be aged 18+
No previous experience or knowledge of art is needed and a full induction briefing will be provided.
The exhibition will run from the Sunday 3rd December to Sunday 17th December, 12 – 4pm, with one late night opening on Thursday 14th December. If you are interested in volunteering please get in contact and we will give you a call to discuss the role and your availability.

A briefing on all the information about the exhibition and how to make it accessible to visitors
Volunteer briefings:
You will be invited to an online volunteer and staff briefing on Thursday 23rd November at 6.30pm. At the briefing we can tell you all about the exhibition, how the artworks were made and what to do when you arrive etc. You can also ask any questions you might have.
If you can’t attend a briefing then we can always brief you on the day of your shift.
