The Book(ish) Club is a relaxed, creative book club where people come together to listen, make, and share. There is no reading to do in advance and no pressure to speak. You can simply turn up, listen to short readings around a shared theme, enjoy some creative making, and spend time in good company.
First session Saturday 7 February, 1:30 – 4pm

The first Book(ish) Club session takes place on Saturday 7 February, 1.30–4pm at Woodston Library. This session will theme is Childhood Favourites, with readings shared aloud, space to make or bring your own craft, and time to sit, listen, or chat as you choose.
Alongside the listening, the Book(ish) Club also includes short performances from young people. We are currently looking for young people aged 16–24 who would like to perform as part of the session.

Would you like to read a poem or book extract chosen by the youth panel?
Each Book(ish) Club event has three paid performance slots. There is also the option to volunteer to read short book extracts or poems chosen by the youth panel.
Alongside the public sessions, we are also welcoming young people who would like to be part of the youth panel, helping to shape future Book(ish) Club events, themes, and readings. The next youth panel meeting will take place on Friday 31 January at Woodston Library.
