Join us on this walk, led by local resident Dale McKean and learn about Eye’s important and historic high street.

This walk mixes up heritage, beautiful buildings and local tales whilst taking lots of photos. Discover the little details and stories of the village, such as interesting door knockers! and WW2 German bombers flying and shooting down the high street! Along the way the group can take as many photos as they like as well as share their memories and knowledge of Eye.

Afterwards Peterborough Presents will host a coffee and chat with participants to sit down with a cuppa, share photos, tips and experiences as well as getting to know one another

 

Suitable for all ages, backgrounds and levels of photography.
Please bring your own camera or smart phone!
Children must be supervised.

About Dale McKean

Dale has been a keen amateur photographer for over 45 years

Whilst in the Royal Air Force he took photographs for the Station Magazine of community events and items of interest on the RAF station

For over 12 years he has also had photos published of various Eye village events in the Eyescan magazine

He lives in the Conservation area on the High Street and has a keen interest in the History of Eye and its important historic buildings

He is the Chairman of the Eye Open Space Group who work with the City Council on the maintenance and improvements to Manor Farm Park at the rear of the Community Centre.
