Lantern Parade drop-in workshop with Light Whale International and Peterborough Presents
Join this special workshop led by the team who produces the Eye Lantern Parade. It’s a drop-in session where you can make a lantern, make a badge or do some creative doodling whilst having a brew.
The workshop is part of a day of activity celebrating Manor Farm Community Centre’s 40th anniversary.

Nov 24 – Dec 1 Working with Emily Steele-Dias, young people in Eye will discover film language, shadow play, shaping stories for film, trying out camera work, sound, lighting, stop motion.
Wednesday 30 July Join Hannah Bigley and learn techniques and play with texture to explore making creatures/characters in nature.
Wednesday 23 July Join Lauren Kendrick to create a story for a character through fun activities, using creative writing that wants your imagination to grow wild
Wednesday 16 July Join Imogen Joyce and create a world for a character inspired by nature and Eye folktales.
Wednesday 9 July Join Stuart Payn and experiment and use spray painting techniques to create text and street art characters.
Wednesday 9 July We’re hosting 4 creative workshops with local artists and creatives aimed at 12 – 16 years olds who live in Eye or surrounding area.
Listen to the stories of the people, places and industries that helped to create the village. Find out if you live where they used to make 200,000 bricks a day. Discover the memories of people that manned the railway or farmed its fields.

Join local creative and youth worker Fi Cifaldi for a print-making workshop with a twist!
Digging Down, Building Up, was a project funded by Historic England and it celebrated Eye’s overlooked and unique working-class industrial and farming heritage – industries born out of the land on which it is built.
Sunday 17th November
On Sunday 17th November at 4pm. Eye village is going to be the backdrop for a spectacular Lantern Parade. Eye Villagers, community groups, schools local and international artists, have come together to co-create this community light in the darkening time of the year.
